Men's Golf Takes Fourth Place at Patriot Invite

LONDON, KY - UNOH men's golf took on the Patriot Invitational Monday and Tuesday finishing fourth of nine behind top team No. 3 Lindsey Wilson, No. 14 Campbellsville and host Cumberlands.

The Racers improved each round of the tournament starting with a 312 followed by 305 and 292 for a total of 909 over the three rounds. Jose Vargas led the team in a tie for fourth place, his fourth top five of the season, with rounds of 74, 76 and 72 for a final score of 222 (+6). Guillermo Garron earned his fifth top ten finish with a 223 (+7) after scoring 75, 75, 73 good enough to tie for eighth place.

The UNOH team scoring was rounded out by Luke Turner with a 230, Oliver Rogers with a 234 and Oscar Lind with a 247.

The next event for the Racers will be next Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8, at the Midway Eagle Invitational played at Griffin Gate Resort Course in Lexington, Kentucky.
