Women's Basketball Winning Streak Snapped at Brescia

OWENSBORO, KY - UNOH women's basketball took their first loss of the season, 73-65, in the program's first ever trip to Brescia on Saturday.

The Racers gave up 24 points in the first quarter and had fallen behind 40-27 by halftime but battled back to make it a two point game heading into the final frame. The Bearcats fought off the comeback in the fourth keeping UNOH at arms-length to edge out an eight-point win.

Alysia Lawson led the team with 22 points grabbing seven rebounds and assisting four times. Jayci Allen finished with 15 points adding seven rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist. 

UNOH shot 41% from the field as a team, their lowest output of the season, but only turned the ball over ten times forcing 17 for Brescia.

The Racers return home for one game before heading a four-game road trip to open conference play. UNOH will host Cincinnati-Clermont on Monday, November 18 at 5:30 PM.
