Road Woes Continue as Women's Basketball Falls at Lourdes

SYLVANIA, OH - UNOH women's basketball has struggled on the road all season and those trends continued Wednesday night as the Racers took a tough loss at Lourdes, 77-56. UNOH is now just 1-4 on the road this season while boasting an 11-1 record in their home gym.

Slow starts have been the achilles heal for the Racers away from home and was the case again as the Gray Wolves opened up a 19-10 lead after one. The second and third played tight with just five points separating the teams, but that initial hurdle couldn't be overcome. Lourdes began to pull away in the final stanza running out to a 21-point win.

Brooke Asher and Alysia Lawson tied for the team lead with twelve points each. Olivia Thompson finished with eleven and Kayla Larimore added a career high ten off the bench. Lori Huffman finished one point and one rebound short of a double-double while Larimore and Sanaiiya Gray each added six boards.

With the first half of conference play in the books, UNOH will hope their home magic returns for a weekend matchup against Rochester Christian. The day will also see the 2026 UNOH Athletics Hall of Fame Class honored at halftime as the Racers try to avenge a road loss to the Warriors earlier this season.
