FORT WAYNE, IN - UNOH women's soccer picked up their third consecutive win with a 2-0 shutout at Indiana Tech Wednesday, October 4.
Despite the Racers dominating the majority of the game, it took more than 85 minutes for them to finally get the ball into the back of the net. After the Indiana Tech keeper made nine saves throughout the match, Patricia Blazquez connected with Vivian Purmonen in the 86th minute to finally get UNOH on the board. The Racers iced the game with a second goal less than two minutes later. Assiter became assistee with Blazquez netting her second goal of the season from Janne Esther Frauenpreiss, her first assist of the season.
UNOH outshot Indiana Tech 23-6 putting twelve on goal to just three for the Warriors. It is the third straight game the Racers have produced 20+ shots.
Mireia Queralt (4-1-1) made three saves over 90 minutes for her second consecutive clean sheet and third of the season.
UNOH will face No. 4 Aquinas next on Saturday, October 7, when they make the trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan for a 12:00 PM kickoff.
