Purmonen Wins WHAC Offensive Player of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced Monday that Northwestern Ohio's Vivian Purmonen has been voted the WHAC Offensive Player of the Week after a ten-point week that helped UNOH outscore their two opponents 20-0.
Purmonen's week started with the best offensive performance of her career against Defiance where she netted three times, her first career hat trick, and assisted twice. Her big day was a part of an even bigger day for her Racers where they set new single game records with 18 goals, 18 assists and 52 total points. Purmonen followed up with a fourth goal that was the eventual game winner against Cornerstone as UNOH blanked the Golden Eagles 2-0.
It is the program's first offensively weekly award since 2023 and the first of Purmonen's career.
