Volleyball: Racers Get Bitten by Wolverines

DEARBORN, MI - After taking the first set of the match 25-19, UNOH (7-9, 0-4) lost the next three 25-23, 25-10, 26-24 to UM-Dearborn (6-9, 2-2).

Elli Roetgerman (FR/New Bremen, Ohio) led the Racers for the third straight game with 17.5 points. Roetgerman finished with 17 kills and a block assist in the match. Logan Thomas (SO/Johnstown, Ohio) recorded 14 points off eleven kills and three service aces. Savanna Reed (FR/Columbia City, Indiana) finished with a season high 26 assists while Casey Kingsland (SO/Blanchester, Ohio) tallied 21. Aubree Ricketts (JR/Plainfield, Illinois) led the team with eleven digs in the match.

UNOH out-killed the Wolverines 48-47 with 47 assists to 44 for UMD. The Racers added eight more service aces to put their season total at 135, 3rd most in the country.

UNOH heads into their bye week before opening a three-game home stand with Aquinas on September 23 at 7:00 PM.
