LIMA, OH - UM-Dearborn (11-12, 7-5) was better out of the gate and held on to defeat UNOH (10-14, 3-9) in four sets 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-23.
Elli Roetgerman (FR/New Bremen, Ohio) led the Racers with 17 points off 17 kills with only six errors on 39 attacks. Logan Thomas (SO/Johnstown, Ohio) finished with 11.5 points with nine kills, two service aces and a block assist. Savanna Reed (FR/Columbia City, Indiana) led the team with 21 assists while Casey Kingsland (SO/Blanchester, Ohio) added 15 in the match. Aubree Ricketts (JR/Plainfield, Illinois) was the only Racer to record double-digit digs with 19.
As a team, UNOH finished with more kills (45-40) and more assists (40-36) than UM-Dearborn but gave up 17 service aces in the match.
UNOH has a quick turnaround to face Concordia at home on Saturday, October 15.
