Volleyball: Racers Take Down Blue Devils in Four
LIMA, OH - After dropping the first game of the night, UNOH (12-17, 5-12) won three straight to complete the season double over Lawrence Tech (11-18, 4-13).
It took extra points for the Blue Devils to win their only set of the night 27-25, but UNOH responded taking sets two and three 25-19 and 25-16 respectively. After trailing by eight at one point in set four, Lawrence Tech battled back to force extra points before the Racers finished the job 27-25.
Elli Roetgerman (FR/New Bremen, Ohio) led all players with 25.5 points and 25 kills while hitting .408 in the match, all career highs. Anika Burke (SO/Chadron, Nebraska) also recorded a career best 10.5 points off a career high nine kills and three block assists. Hope Fetherolf (JR/London, Ohio) added eight kills, three block assists and a solo block for 10.5 points in the match. Casey Kingsland (SO/Blanchester, Ohio) led the team with 20 assists while Savanna Reed (FR/Columbia City, Indiana) added 19. Defensively, Logan Thomas (SO/Johnstown, Ohio) finished with a career high 23 digs to lead all players. Aubree Ricketts (JR/Plainfield, Illinois) earned 16 and Abigail Martin (FR/Goshen, Indiana) had 10.
UNOH hit .224 as a team, the team's highest mark since September 3 (.288)
The Racers will host again on Saturday, October 29 against Rochester at 1:00 PM.
