Ricketts Earns Defender of the Week Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has named Northwestern Ohio's Aubree Ricketts as the WHAC Defender of the Week for the week ending September 3. Ricketts helped her Racers go 4-0 at the Freed-Hardeman Invitational to earn her second career Defender of the Week award.
Ricketts racked up 71 digs over the weekend, including a season high 27 against UT-Southern, averaging 4.73 per set. She is averaging 4.15 digs per set this season and 4.12 for her career, the third best in program history. Ricketts also chipped in 17 assists and four service aces over the four matches.
Ricketts joins teammate Logan Thomas, who won WHAC Attacker of the Week, as the first Racer duo to earn POTW awards in the same week.
