UNOH Sweeps Lourdes on Senior Day

LIMA, OH - UNOH volleyball hosted Lourdes on Wednesday, November 1, as they honored seven graduating members of the program. Despite an early fight in the game one, the Racers took control and took care of business in a 3-0 sweep of the Gray Wolves. It is the program's first season sweep of Lourdes since 2014, just the second ever, and the first time in six straight sets.

The first set stayed close and sat 19-19 late with the largest lead up until then of just two points. UNOH scored seven of the final nine points to take the game 25-21. The Racers never trailed in the second set winning 25-19 and pulled away in the final game of the night 25-15.

Taylor Kennard got an opportunity to put in significant playing time on Senior Day and took advantage. Kennard put up numbers in every statistical category finishing with a career high 20 assists, a service ace, and her first career kill and block assist. Abigail Martin led all players with twelve kills on 29 attacks. Logan Thomas and Elli Roetgerman both recorded 10.5 points in the match. Thomas had ten kills with a block assist while Roetgerman tallied eight kills, three block assists and a service ace. Aubree Ricketts led the team in digs with twelve on the night.

The Racers wrap up the 2023 season with a trip to Madonna on Saturday, November 4, at 12:00 PM.
