Racers Come Up Short at Home Against Madonna

LIMA, OH - UNOH volleyball didn't have enough to take down Madonna Friday night despite rallying to win the third set falling in four 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-19.

Aliyah Saylor led the team offensively for the fourth time in five games matching her career high from earlier this season with 17.5 points. Saylor's night was highlighted by a four-set program record seven service aces topping the previous record of six that has stood since 2017. She added ten kills and a block assist to complete her scoring while digging eight times, a career high.

Shamyria DuBose put down eight kills to match her season high adding three assisted blocks for 10.5 points. Riley Treece recorded 22 digs, her most since game one of the season, while Alli Lopez tallied 18 digs and two kills, the first match of her career with more than one. Kalaya Fitzgerald also had multiple kills scoring three times to match her career high from earlier this season.

UNOH will look to get back on the winning track when they host UM-Dearborn Saturday, September 27 at 2:00 PM.
