Alysia Lawson Voted Mercy Health Athlete of the Month
Each month, UNOH is teaming up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt from Cappy's Sportswear and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.
For the month of January, Alysia Lawson of the women's basketball team has been given the award. Lawson is currently sixth in the country in both total points and points per game with 490 total and 22.3 per game.
Words from Coach Vavro: Lee has made tremendous strides from her freshman year in leading our team and is a relentless competitor. She has handled multiple responsibilities for us on both sides of the ball and welcomes challenges that come her way. In addition to her on-court accomplishments, Lee is also a very good student and is employed on campus.
