Fehlner Wins Mercy Health Athlete of the Month
LIMA, OH - Each month, UNOH teams up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.
The November edition of the Athlete of the Month has been awarded to Olivia Fehlner of the women's bowling team after bringing home three top finishes and two individual titles over three events. Fehlner won the Roto Grip Raider Classic to open the month finishing 30 pins ahead of second place with a 215.8 average. She followed up with a fourth place finish in a field of 146 bowlings at the Ohio Bowling Conference #3 trailing second by just three pins with a total of 787 and a 196.8 average. Fehlner the month of November with her second individual title and the program's first ever at a Tier 1 event dominating a field of 148 with a 75 pin advantage over second place and a 221.4 average, her best of the season.
Fehlner is averaging 204.9 per game this season and is currently ranked seventh in the country by the United States Bowling Congress.
