Lawson Awarded November Athlete of the Month

LIMA, OH - Each month, UNOH teams up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.

November was a historic month for Northwestern Ohio's Alysia Lawson resulting in her third career Mercy Health Athlete of the Month award. Lawson became the all-time leading scorer in the history of UNOH basketball including both the modern men's and women's programs and dating back through the university's original teams under the Northwestern Business College moniker. She played 242 of 245 minutes over the team's six games adding 16 rebounds eleven steals and ten assists.

Lawson has been a consistent scorer since her freshman year at UNOH averaging 21.2 points per game for her career with a 42% field goal percentage, 32% from three and 77% on free throws. She has logged double-digit points in every game this season and all but nine over her four years with just one of those nine coming outside of her freshman campaign.
