PORTSMOUTH, OH - UNOH men's basketball trailed most of the night in their first road trip of the season falling at Shawnee State 83-63 Wednesday night.
The Racers shot better than Shawnee State on the night hitting 44% from the field to 41% for the Bears, but missed free throws and turnovers plagued their night and proved costly down the stretch. As a team, UNOH hit just 48% from the line (11-23) and coughed the ball up 18 times allowing 19 points off turnovers.
Alex Benson led the team with 19 points on 7-16 (44%) shooting while Antonio King and Kahlil Davis chipped in 15 and eleven points, respectively. Jyheim Spencer led the team on the glass in his debut pulling down nine rebounds.
UNOH will stay on the road for their next game traveling to Gunden Gymnasium to take on the Goshen Saturday, November 1 at 7:00 PM.
