LIMA, OH - UNOH men's basketball had trouble on both ends of the court Saturday afternoon struggling to slow down Lawrence Tech in an 86-57 home loss.
The Racers opened a quick 8-0 lead to start the game and held the lead through the first ten minutes of the half. After the Blue Devils fought back and worked their way in front for the first time, the game got tight producing five lead changes and two ties with no more than four points between the two. Lawrence Tech nailed two free throws in the final seconds of the half to hold a slight advantage, 32-30, at the break.
The second half began when the first left off but a six minute stretch proved to be the decisive blow. In a three-point game, the Blue Devils put together a massive 22-2 run that blew the game open and put them up 59-36 with just over ten minutes remaining. Fifteen points was as close as the Racers could get down the stretch as Lawrence Tech pulled away.
Kahlil Davis led the team with twelve points off the bench follwed by Malachi Black's eleven. Alex Benson and Grant Pikkaart both chipped in ten while Jyheim Spencer grabbed a team high nine rebounds.
UNOH will have a week off to regroup before hosting Defiance College next Saturday, December 13.
