Archey Earns Mercy Health Athlete of the Month
LIMA, OH - Each month, UNOH teams up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.
For the month of the December, UNOH Athletic Administration has named Ryan Archey of men's basketball the Athlete of the Month. Over the course of six games in December, Archey helped lead his team to a 5-1 record including the prpgram's longest winning streak since 2016. He logged 32.8 minutes per game while averaging 23 points per game while shooting an exceptional 55% from the field and 57% from three-point. Archey also averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists and grabbed nine steals over the six games. His month was highlighted by his first career WHAC Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring 28 and 27 in wins over Olivet and Concordia.
Archey currently sits third in the WHAC with a 20.1 points per game average this season.
