King Awarded Mercy Health Athlete of the Month

LIMA, OH - Each month, UNOH teams up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.

The January edition has been given to Antonio King of the men's basketball program who had a great start to the new year and averaged 20.4 points per game over the month. He scored more than 20 points six times with back-to-back 30-point performances to lead the team.

King shot 41% from the field over nine games averaging 8.1 rebounds per game and logging four double-doubles. He became the first player in program history to earn three weekly conference awards in a single season picking up three straight Offensive Player of the Week honors.
